Picture yourself standing 11,400 feet above sea level, near the top of Sierra Blanca, the highest peak in the southern Rocky Mountains. Below you, 750 acres of skiable terrain, over 55 trails to choose from, and over 1,800 feet of vertical drop to the base of Ski Apache. Snow Bliss, baby!! Whether you are skiing or boarding, you are sure to find the fun and thrills you are looking for on this mountain!
Since 1961, people have been making the trek to enjoy some of the Southwest’s best snow at Ski Apache. And with an average of 15 feet of snowfall per year, their efforts have been rewarded. This place can service 16,500 skiers and boarders per hour with a 4 passenger gondola, 2 high speed quads, 5 triples, 1 double and 2 surface lifts.
20% of the trails are rated for beginners and Ski Apache has an outstanding Ski and Snowboard school to help you get on the 35% intermediate runs right away. For those already proficient in their chosen sport, 45% of the runs are rated advanced. And YES, boarders can go anywhere!
